This route starts from the Santa María de la Asunción Church, in Cabezón de Pisuerga . After walking through several streets of the town towards the hill, we will reach the winery area. For approximately two kilometers you will walk along an intermediate level of the slope of the Valdecastro moor , with vegetation of pines, oaks, junipers and other species typical of riverside forest formations such as poplars and poplars. We continue along the Camino de Vecilla, a name given to the land corresponding to the lobe of the meander that the Pisuerga draws as it passes through this area, which takes us to the Cabezón de Pisuerga bridge.

Once in the urban area, we will take the town crossing heading south. We will descend towards the river to reach a walk on the slope. From there you can easily access the very bank of the Pisuerga and take a breather under the enormous poplar trees that cross it. The path ends arriving again at the church, recognizing its slender tower on the roofs of the town.
