- From Ahigal de los Aceiteros to Paraje de La Carrasquera
From the municipality of Ahigal de los Aceiteros to the area of La Carrasquera, there is a round trip path nine kilometers long, easy to walk.
The walk passes between curtains and preserves dedicated to grazing and traditional crops in Las Arribes to the outskirts of the sheltered valley of the Águeda River, where the landscape becomes more rugged. There begins a closed forest of oaks that reaches the end of the path, a good place to contemplate Las Arribes del Río Águeda, observe nature in its wildest state and lose your gaze in the sky, from where the goshawk eagle, the griffon vulture or the Egyptian vulture watch over the silent valley.
A path that has been designed to enjoy and understand this natural space as a small synthesis of the Arriba landscape. Along the way you can discover the wild and cultivated fruits, which have been and are the essences of life in this territory, along with the efforts of man to transform this wild landscape into humanized and fertile land.
