Discover the Laguna Negra Natural Park and Circos Glaciares de Urbión, a natural corner with the impressive Laguna Negra, located at 1,800 meters high and surrounded by infinite pine forests. Dive into its shadowy waters, famous for legends and stories. This lagoon system, the result of glacial action, exhibits landscapes with cirques, faults, folds and dislocations.
Experience the symphony of contrasts with forests, lagoons, streams and high mountain meadows that define the lush landscapes of the Iberian Mediterranean high mountain regions. The Pico de Urbión, at 2,228 meters, gives rise to the iconic Duero River, flowing from this majestic peak.
Contemplate the varied vegetation, from bushes and grasslands to beech trees, and at a lower altitude, the Scots or Scots pine, which almost completely covers the Revinuesa and Duero valleys, forming part of the largest forest area in the Iberian Peninsula. Spot the diversity of wildlife, from the protected alpine rosalia to the bearded vulture, European mink and gray partridge.
