On Thursday, March 20, at 6:30 p.m., Leonese author Javi de Castro presents his latest work.

Miguel and Ana are young, in debt and expecting a baby. A small town offering free accommodation seems to be their salvation. Leonese folklore and terror intersect in this survival story set in deserted Spain.

Javi de Castro has collected the canonical elements of the horror subgenre known as "folk horror", typical of British cinema, to bring them to the Spanish plateau, giving prominence to the executioners. In the words of Javi de Castro, "the first thing is that I love the genre, The Wicker Man, La garra de satán, Midsommar... but also Spain, and more specifically the region of León, to which I belong, is full of ancestral traditions: the antruejo and its characters, the ramo leonés, the moss men of Béjar, the Mayos... Many things that are seen in those films I have seen since I was a child, and for this comic I wanted to take advantage of them and create my own mythology based on that reality".

Free admission until full capacity.
