Pepa was born in Don Benito (Badajoz), and well, she's still there. She's an actress, but since Netflix casting calls aren't available in her town, she makes ends meet by making Tupperware sex toys for her neighbors, making baby baskets, or sending birthday videos impersonating celebrities.

But her life changes the day her manager, Eusebio Calvo Pulpillo, calls her in as a last-minute replacement: she has to pretend in front of the audience that she's Deborah Letherman, a prestigious emotional coach and expert in human relations, who's about to give a presentation. But since she feels unwell at the last minute, they call in someone with the reflexes, the Minnesota accent, and the nerve to make a fool of herself. And that's how Pepa gets up on stage pretending to be someone she's not and talking about something she has no idea about.
