The Ármaga gallery hosts the exhibition Mímesis, by photographer Julia González Liébana, a show composed of thirty images that invite us to delve into a universe where the body, nature, and the artistic gaze intertwine in a silent but deeply evocative dialogue.

Julia González Liébana, photographer and visual researcher, develops her work at the intersection of art, identity, and nature. Her work is characterized by a sensitivity that borders on the poetic and by a constant search for the essential, for that which hides behind the appearance of things. Through her camera, Julia not only captures images: she proposes a way of seeing, a way of being in the world that is more conscious and connected to nature.

In Mimesis, the viewer can explore three distinct yet deeply connected series: Women, Evanescent Herbarium, and Encounters with Nature. In Women, female bodies are presented as part of the landscape, in a delicate symbiosis with the elements that surround them. Evanescent Herbarium presents a visual collection of plant forms suspended in time, almost spectral, that speak to us of ephemeral beauty. Finally, Encounters with Nature documents moments of communion with nature, moments of harmony and belonging that invite contemplation.

The term mimesis, understood as the imitation of nature, takes on a more intimate dimension here: it's not just about reflecting what we see, but recognizing ourselves in it. Julia González Liébana offers us a perspective that doesn't separate, but unites; an invitation to inhabit the world through empathy, sensitivity, and wonder.
