LET THE DANCE BEGIN

Let the Dance Begin is the title of Abrojo Folk 's new live album for 2023.

For twenty-six years, Abrojo Folk has been spreading traditional music throughout the country. During this time, Abrojo Folk has recorded four albums: Barrios y Lugares (Neighborhoods and Places), Remembranzas (Remembrances ), Entre trigos y pinares (Between Wheat and Pine Forests) , and El sueño que sobrevive (The Dream That Survives ), the latter of which has been recorded. In these albums, they have spread the traditions of our land and those of other communities. Their latest album , El sueño que sobrevive (The Dream That Survives), also includes the group's own songs.

More than seven hundred performances and many visited municipalities make the work worthwhile. Experiences and experiences that have matured and enriched Abrojo Folk. It is a source of satisfaction for us to see how traditional music is still present and that our roots are alive. In the recording of El sueño que sobrevive (The Dream That Survives ), Abrojo Folk has had important collaborations such as Cristina Ortiz of Free Folk, Salvador Cacho formerly of La Bazanca, Charli Munny of Tahona, Jaime la Fuente of Caracol Andador, Angel Lévid of Lévid Cuarteto Folk, and Francisco García Olmedo.

Currently, Abrojo Folk is considered one of the leading folk groups in our folklore, with a very enjoyable and pleasant repertoire in which they continue to use traditional folk instruments such as: dulzainas, snare drum, lute, guitars, accordion, tambourine, rattles, tejoletas, flutes or Castilian whistle, among others.
