New lecture by Carlos Gutiérrez Cajaraville within the "Musical Afternoons" series.

Between the breeze of a dreamlike Greece and the caress of a sunrise on the skin, Maurice Ravel's Daphnis et Chloé unfolds like a mosaic of music, light, and desire. In this session of the Musical Evenings of the Public Library of Castilla y León, we will explore how its sensual and ethereal sounds translate the awakening of love into sounds that evoke the touch of water and the whisper of the wind. Ravel composes an idealized Arcadia, where the orchestra becomes a movie camera, narrating without words a story of seduction and ecstasy. We will discover how his music suggests what it does not show, enveloping us in a dance of bodies, shadows, and myths. More than a ballet, Daphnis et Chloé is a symphony of the ineffable, an echo of marble and breeze that invites us to listen with our eyes closed and to imagine with our skin.
