Fantastic comedy from the American era by French director René Clairde, 1944

Larry Stevens works as a reporter for the New York Evening News and is about to celebrate his golden anniversary with his wife, Sylvia, and their entire family. During the celebration, he recounts a strange incident that happened to him in the late 19th century, when Old Benson, the newspaper's newspaper archives manager, whom he barely knew, gave him a copy of the Evening News that predicted upcoming news a day in advance. According to critics, the film "failed to be as inventive as its ingenious starting point would have us believe, but it was nonetheless elegant and captivating."
