The Salamanca Museum. On this occasion, the museum presents a workshop consisting of two parts, one theoretical (30 mins) and the other practical (1 hour).
Still life, or nature morte, is a pictorial genre that represents inanimate objects, such as fruits, flowers, household utensils or everyday elements, organized in an artistic way.
We will explore the different still lifes in the museum, both those that are standard still lifes and those that are part of compositions with other main motifs.
During the practical part of the workshop, we will explore some of the most famous still lifes in the history of art that will help us understand the use of light, color and composition to bring seemingly static objects to life.
From this inspiration, we will create our own still life with the objects selected by the children, experimenting with different techniques to develop their creativity.
