Salamanca Museum. This April, the museum has prepared the following activities for children and families.
On April 12 and 13, we'll discover the "Secrets of the Forge." A fascinating journey back in time to discover the fascinating world of the island. In our ethnography section, we'll explore how ancient blacksmiths worked. First, through a guided tour, we'll discover the secrets of this traditional craft, observing how it has evolved over the years. And now, in our creative workshop, we'll give our imaginations a chance to model with white clay, inspired by the shapes and textures of working in water. It will be a unique experience to learn, experiment, and create with new materials.
The next workshop dedicated to " Holy Week " can be attended on April 15, 16, and 22. We will begin with a visit that will serve as part of our first mission: we will look at books that tell us stories and biblical traditions of this special time. We will discover the impressive "Altarpiece of Mary Magdalene," where the colors and figures will transport us to a world of faith and devotion. We will carefully observe every detail and ask ourselves: Who was Mary Magdalene? What secrets does this altarpiece hold?
Next, we'll move on to the painting "The Burial of Christ." This work will allow us to reflect on the meaning of Holy Week and how it has been represented in art throughout the centuries.
And finally, we'll go to the craft workshop to create a Holy Week manual.
