Arch of San Martin / Royal Door / Juradera Door
Erected between the 13th and 14th centuries on the orders of King Alphonse X the Wise, it is part of the walled city and the gate through which monarchs and illustrious visitors to the city would pass.
Pilgrims left through this gate and monarchs came in once they had been given the city's privileges. Behind the gate was the Jewish Quarter of Burgos.
