This town stands at a crossroads of riverbanks and cattle tracks and is made up of Morille, the administrative centre and La Regañada and Monte Abajo. It is the last town pilgrims pass through before reaching the capital of the Campo Charro region.
It boasts a Roman bridge whose beauty was extolled by the finest poets of the 18th century. The paths and narrow passes provide a glimpse of the unmistakeable towers of Salamanca from the top of a hill 1,160 metres above sea level, and once past the town, the stunning views are worthy of being fixed in the mind’s eye for ever.
This town also includes the following sites of interest: the Church of El Salvador, the Church of San Antonio and the Silver Route Study and Promotion Centre.
