The Celtiberians were the first to settle here, followed later by the Romans. It was later repopulated by the Moriscos and the Jews, as well as by local Castilians and Galicians. This town was particularly dear to the monarchs that reigned between the 13th and 14th centuries.
Most of Aldeaseca de Armuña was under the influence of the Cathedral Church of Salamanca, and the city’s clergy would spend their summers here. Today, this district of the municipality of Villares de la Reina can be considered a dormitory town for the nearby provincial capital.
This town is also the site of the Parish Church of La Santa Cruz.
