Uxama
The Uxama life started in the second Iron Age (IV century BC) as a Celtic-Iberian settlement of the Arevaci group. They were organized into independent communities. They were farmers, cattlemen and craftsmen. Of this stage, there are known remains of semi rock rooms appeared under the foundations of the Roman houses and hundreds of tombs.
With the Romanization, in the century I, the village grew, and of this growth its water supply network is example. It was in this time when acquired public buildings and became one of the main city centers of the province in Roman times.
