It is configured as a set of high heritage value by its excellent state of conservation and for being proof of cultural, burial and residential practices of the medieval peasants in the rural area of Burgos.

The rock necropolis, located in a small rocky outcropping, has an estimated area of 2.000 square meters, and some 140 burials of different sizes have been documented in it.

The most common type of burial is the anthropomorphic tomb for men supposedly, and a in lesser extent, that of bath and almond-shaped, which seems to be destined to children or female burials.
