The Panteón de los Reyes (royal tomb), known as the Romanesque ‘Capilla Sixtina’ with its frescos ‘in situ’, is of extraordinary value. Other noteable collections include the Cáliz (chalice) de Doña Urraca, from the eleventh century; the Arqueta de los marfiles (ivory chest) and the Portapaz del Pantocrator (platform on which the figure of Christ or the Virgin is placed and paraded around the town during Semana Santa) from the same century; la Arqueta de Limoges (chest with French porcelain).
