Monastery of Santa Maria la Real de Nieva
This temple is in honour of Santa María. In 1399 this sanctuary was given by the Queen herself to the Frailes Predicadores and work began on the enlargement of the temple and its unique Cloister, a Gothic sculpture in Castilla with painted capitals.
The parish church is dedicated to Nuestra Señora de la Soterraña and is of the Gothic style, with three naves and a Gothic portal from the beginning of the 15th century. In the temple are the remains of Doña Blanca de Navarra.
In the northeastern portal there are five pointed archivolts in Gothic style. There is an image showing us Jesús guided by the sun and the moon and angels mounted on clouds.
