In the vicinity of the city of Béjar is El Bosque, one of the few examples of romantic gardens in the region.

Its construction joins the duchy of Béjar and specifically Don Francisco de Zúñiga and Sotomayor, following the guidelines of the Renaissance style. In a nearby forest with abundant water, a retreat and walk place was designed with all the elements of the time: gazebo, pond, fountains, walks, steps ...

The tour allows you to see the old palace, from the 16th century, and the large pond that opens next to it, through which boats used to slide. Surrounded by a dense grove emerge walks and steps, hidden benches or hidden sources.

The enormous trees, of great height, belong to native and foreign species; it is believed that they come from the same period as the rest of the complex and represent a show of color with the arrival of the different seasons.
