One kilometre from here is the Monasterio de Santa Maria de Retuerta, which now houses a winery. Founded in 1145, this Benedictine monastery preserves its structure, church, chapterhouse and cloister and its Romanesque apses particularly stand out. The Iglesia Parroquial de San Juan Bautista, made of stone, is a 16th century building.
