If there is something that has made the town of Pereruela in the region of Sayago famous, it is its handmade pottery, one of the main sources of revenue for the village since olden days. About 12 kilometres from the capital, it was the Mirandesa crossroads that connected Zamora with Miranda do Douro. It has preserved its lovely bridges, such as Potato, thought to be one of the oldest in the province, as well as those of Judiez and Urrietas, the former two go over the waters of the stream of Campeán.
