The master carpenters carried out their trade on an itinerant basis. Accompanied by the officers and apprentices of their workshop and provided with their work tools, they traveled to the different destinations until the order was completed.

This practice explains to a large extent the repetition of some models and ornaments of assembly carpentry throughout our geography, although on other occasions this phenomenon is due to the conditions of the contracts, in which the promoter frequently required that the work will be carried out "in accordance" with those existing elsewhere. In this way, complexes such as that of the chapter house of San Marcos de Leon became a prestigious model to imitate early on, their type of lacework reaching such a wide diffusion that it was used in examples from the 17th century such as that of Valcabado del Paramo. This geometric framework of great regularity, formed by the starting of eight-pointed stars, was incorporated into the musk of this roof, which also has various carved motifs, such as dentils, circular mirrors, arches, chains and vegetal ornaments of classical roots.
