The church of San Bonifacio de Espejo de Tera, Almarza district, has been declared BIC with Monument category on January 18, 2024.

It is small in size and is characterized by its constructive simplicity and the use of poor materials, typical of rural architecture. Its origin dates back to the end of the 12th century or the beginning of the 13th century. The temple preserves the Romanesque apse, composed of a semicircular apse and a straight section. The Romanesque part, like the rest of the construction, is built in masonry with reinforcement of sandstone ashlars. A simple cornice finishes the walls, on whose ashlars the marks of the ax work and a stonemason's mark are perceptible. In the 18th century, a comprehensive reform was carried out, which included the construction of a sacristy to the south, a belfry attached to the north of the presbytery and the portico.
