Sahagún el Real or sometimes referred to as Sahagún el Viejo, came about as a result of the Canal. The only surviving constructions are the warehouses bordering the banks of the Canal de Castilla. In the past, the purpose of these stores was to dispatch cargo. The bridge is also kept in good condition.
