In this village the 15th sluice along the Canal de Castilla is found next to the aqueduct of the river Vallarna. This finely decorated triple arch aqueduct is a piece of superb engineering.

The Gothic style parish church is built around the ruins of an old Romanesque building. Both this church and the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Ronte, the village’s Patron Saint call on tourists to make a stop. The Ermita de San Pantaleón and the Ermita de la Piedad displaying a fine Mudejar marquetry ceiling are also worth the visit.

The only remaining traces of its past can be found in the Yacimiento de la Velilla where the ruins of an ancient Neolithic village, or more precisely, a stone dolmen was used as a communal grave.
