Naveros de Pisuerga, a small village in the province of Palencia, where the 13th sluice is situated, will lead tourists to San Llorente de la Vega. This next village along the Canal de Castilla route marks the spot of the 14th sluice.
Just before reaching this village in the province of Burgos, one of the Canal's first power-stations, once an old windmill station, will be an interesting sight for tourists' eyes. A visit to the parish church, whose only surviving section are its Romanesque ruins, in the centre of the village is also recommended.
