The historic and stately town of Béjar has an exceptional heritage waiting to be discovered.

The Dukes of Béjar, already mentioned in Don Quixote, gave splendor to this Salamanca town, which preserves scars from the passage through its streets of the three cultures throughout history, and provided it with amazing spaces such as Renaissance gardens and palaces. In its monumental heritage we find such important monuments as the walls, the churches of Santiago, Santa María la Mayor or El Salvador; noble buildings such as the Doge's Palace and civil buildings such as the Bullring, the Town Hall or the Cervantes Theatre.

The Bejarano calderillo, the scrambled potatoes, the zorongollo and the lemons are the most typical dishes of the gastronomy of Béjar.
