The Junta de Castile and León, from its Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has led the start of the events on the occasion of the VIII Centenary of the Cathedral of Burgos, an event that will last until 2021.
García Cirac announced that the Junta de Castile and León, as an honorary patron, will support the VIII Centennial from first-class culture, tourism promotion and the recovery and dissemination of heritage. Within the cultural support, on July 20, a concert was held in the Cathedral of the Symphony Orchestra of Castile and León with the support of the Orfeón Burgalés and the Bilbao Choral Society, which, under the direction of Massimo Spadano, performed a symphony as universal as Beethoven's Ninth.
That same day and also inside the Burgos Cathedral, specifically in the Valentín Palencia room, the pictorial exhibition that reviews the religious work of one of the most important Spanish painters was inaugurated, with the support of the Junta de Castile and León. from the first half of the 20th century, José Gutiérrez Solana .
