PROGRAM FOR THE OPENING OF MONUMENTS IN CASTILLA Y LEÓN
HOLY WEEK 2025
FROM APRIL 12 TO 21, 2025
On the occasion of Easter, a holiday that contributes to consolidating the Region as an attractive, high-quality tourist destination, with a wide range of traditions, heritage, nature, and food and wine, and considering that this is one of the busiest periods for tourists, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Sport continues to support a promotional strategy that combines heritage, culture, and tourism, with a special emphasis on rural areas, with the aim of boosting them through tourism.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Sport, in collaboration with the Dioceses of Castilla y León, promotes, organizes, publicizes, and facilitates the enjoyment of our magnificent historical and artistic heritage through collaborators designated by each parish, who are responsible for opening the churches and providing information on visiting conditions.
This publication compiles 317 monuments grouped into 18 thematic proposals, based on artistic styles, geographical areas, or tourist routes. These provide access to and insight into these cultural and artistic resources of the Community of Castilla y León , which are not normally open to visitors or have very limited access.
The opening period is from April 12 to 21, 2025, with uniform hours from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. , unless otherwise indicated. In some cases, the opening hours of the monuments will be limited to the most important days of Holy Week, from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday, from April 17 to 20, 2025.
