Located in the province of Zamora, in the Duero basin (next to the Esla river).

The inhabitants of this traditionally wine-growing region decided to establish the Valles de Benavente DOP in order to obtain recognition for the quality and typicality of their wines. This recognition will achieve five specific objectives: quality control of the wines, restructuring of the current vineyards, promotion of the traditional varieties of this region, introduction of modern production systems and a wide promotion of the wines.

Wine : white, rosé and red. Oak or aged in oak, crianza, reserva and gran reserva.

Varieties

  • WHITE: Verdejo and Malvasia Castellana (Doña Blanca).
  • INKS: Prieto Picudo, Tempranillo, Mencía, Garnacha Tinta and Cabernet Sauvignon.
