The wines covered by the PDO "DEHESA PEÑALBA" are only reds and aged reds. They are made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo and Syrah varieties.
The wines of the PDO «DEHESA PEÑALBA» are red wines with a sustained color, (high intensity and red-blue hue, of great stability), very good layer, very aromatic, with a predominance of ripe red and black fruit, especially in its youth. They present a consistent structure due to their high and stable polyphenol fraction, with a sweet and long-lived tannin. As a consequence, very elegant wines result, with a medium-high body, tasty, voluminous and long on the palate.
Where are they produced?
The geographical area protected by the PDO "DEHESA PEÑALBA" is located in the municipality of Villabáñez (Valladolid) on a terrace of the Duero River. The estate has a total area of ¿¿91.5 ha and the production cellar is located within the estate itself.
