In the late XVI century, M. Diego Gonzalez de Castejon y Vinuesa, councilor of Soria and Agreda, decided to build in this villa a new residence. The result is the palace and the gardens that can be seen currently, one of the few cases of palaces with gardens built in Soria during the XVI century.

The first garden is inscribed in a square divided into several zones according to the principle of golden ration, whose center is set around a circular fountain. The second garden (Garden of Memory) is organized in irregular surfaces covered by different plantations and has a small theater of mirrors to create game and surprise.
