The Altarpiece Museum is located in the church of San Esteban, a Gothic church built between the XIII and XIV centuries. 18 altarpieces corresponding to the XVI, XVII and XVIII centuries are exposed. According to the catechetical function of the altarpiece, the dynamics of the sample is as follows: in the central nave of the church, the symbolic line of Christian martyrdom path is traced and, in the aisles, the mystery of Christ and Mary is developed.

In the choir of the church, important pieces of silversmithing, mainly crosses (X-XVIII centuries), chalices (XV-XVIII) and pyxes (XV century) are exhibited, all presided over by a magnificent XVI century Flemish triptych, work by Ambrosius Benson from the church of San Cosme and San Damian of Burgos.
