Data of interest

Around

Leaving Avila, we head towards the mountains again. Our route will be from east to west, always at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos to the province of Salamanca, along simple and attractive roads, with really fun and changing sections.

We will not find any notable construction until we reach the Barco de Ávila, where its castle will bid us farewell before entering the charro area through the beautiful town of Candelario to, after a short transition stretch, see how the changes in landscape are a constant. in this extensive Community.

The Sierra de Francia is a fabulous place to travel by motorcycle, with towns rooted in the past, many of them in an unbeatable state of conservation. Winding roads, with little traffic and surrounded by nature, as they pass through the Biosphere Reserve of the Béjar and Francia mountain ranges. Some of these towns are also part of the Batuecas- Sierra de Francia Natural Park and the Sierra de las Quilamas Natural Space.

To consider...

In the Sierra de Francia area there is only one gas station and in many places there is not good coverage. In some towns, parking is difficult, but town councils have set up parking spaces (some paid).

On windy days you can find problems in the Sierra de Béjar or the Peña de Francia.
