The Casa de las Conchas Public Library wants to join the [ED+C] The Shortest Day project, with the screening of a series of short films so that this day is a true celebration, a festive vindication of the short film.

[ED+C] is an annual event that is already successfully celebrated in other European countries on December 21 , the day of the winter solstice. The main objective is to make short films known to the general public through free film screenings in the streets and in all kinds of spaces: squares, schools, museums, hospitals, shops, bars, etc.

This is an open event , nationwide, which can be attended by cultural management agents as well as any public or private entity.

The Shortest Day is an idea launched by the French Short Film Agency in 2011. It screens high-quality short films with contemporary and diverse themes. Short films that have just come out of the festival circuit, have received numerous awards and are already a reference in Spanish film culture.
