The Fossil Forest trail starts from the small town of Verdeña. A dense oak forest where the Peña Celada viewpoint is located is the preamble to the Fossil Forest. Tree trunks from 300 million years ago have been imprinted on this rock wall, which can be admired from the viewpoint itself with interpretive panels that make the geological interpretation of the place more understandable. A few meters further on you reach the La Pernía viewpoint that offers a beautiful panoramic view of the entire region. Autumn with its pleasant temperatures and its magic to turn the landscape into an incredible mosaic of colors makes this experience unforgettable.
