Upon reaching the Miranda valley, the route leaves the reservoir to begin the climb to the top of the Cruz de Valsurbio through the shade of the Sierra del Brezo. After a first hill, the Camino Real turns to the right to go down towards Camporredondo de Alba. Instead, the route continues ascending along a forest track that quickly enters a shady reforestation pine forest. This landscape will accompany us for several kilometers of progressive and comfortable climbing, although with some sections of steeper slope.
Once you have crowned the crest of the mountain range, you change slope to reach the Cruz de Valsurbio pass in a gentle descent. From there, a quick descent to the south leads to the Ermita del Cristo Sierra, converted into a mountain refuge whose surroundings are ideal for stopping and regaining strength.
