Located in the Casona, Palace of the Counts of Luna (S.XVIII), in Murias de Paredes. During the 1960s it functioned as the Civil Guard House-Barracks, then being closed and disused until the Murias de Paredes City Council began negotiations with the Álvarez Carballo Foundation for its transfer in exchange for restoration, rehabilitation and commissioning . It is currently destined for the Interpretation and Reception Center for visitors to the Valles de Omaña and Luna Biosphere Reserve and for the cultural center of the territory, receiving numerous activities programmed by residents, municipalities and associations. It is also an exhibition space in which different artists and institutions collaborate. The interpretation center has an immersion space in which, through videos, touch screens, dioramas and other content, the Biosphere Reserve and the region are presented.
