3km from the last sluice, another one of the Canal's superb constructions awaits tourists in Soto de Albures, the waterfall of the 34th, 35th and 36th sluice.
The 34th sluice is oval-shaped while the other 2 are quadrangular-based. The reason for this difference is that, when work on the Canal was resumed, the sluice project was altered. The lock-keepers hut which, today, has been converted into a hostel, is well preserved.
