El Serrón, approximately 7km from the previous village is where the Ramal de Campos takes a turn off to the right, in the opposite direction to the Ramal del Sur which turns to the left.
When the Canal was navigable, this village played an important role, as the ruins of the buildings surrounding the village would seem to suggest. Here another one of the superb waterfalls made up of the 25th, 26th and 27th sluice was constructed .
