Frómista is one of the most important stops along the Canal de Castilla, mainly because it boasts the finest group of sluices found along this route. These sluices correspond to the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th sluice.
The Canal de Castilla route through Frómista will not disappoint tourists. The river Ucieza's triple semicircular-arched aqueduct and the two water towers - Carreboadilla and Carrebacas - are some of the things it has to offer.
The beautiful Iglesia de San Martín with its grotesque carved capitals, is one of the best examples of Romanesque art in Palencia. One of this church's most attractive features are the 315 corbels bordering the eaves of the church.
Moreover, in this village you can find: the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Castillo, the Iglesia de San Pedro (Museo de Arte Sacro de Frómista), the old Hospital de los Palmeros and the statue of San Telmo.
