After passing the 16th sluice, tourists arrive in Boadilla del Camino. This village is an important intersection point for 2 of the best known tourist routes in Castilla y León, the Canal de Castilla and the Camino de Santiago. Proof of this, is the amount of pilgrims who cross these towpaths each day. Next to the sluice is the well-preserved lock-keepers hut.

The village of Boadilla boasts 2 new aqueducts. The first one, the Acueducto de Carremarsilla is situated at the 52.2km mark and the Acueducto de Valdecornete, a further 500m.

The 12th century was a time of glory for this village whose founding father was Fernán González. The village church dedicated to the Asunción de Nuestra Señora was erected between the 16th and 17th century. The interior treasures a superb Renaissance altarpiece and a Romanesque baptismal font propped on pillars.
