A little valley with the Sierra del Duero to the north and the Sierra de Umbría y Rosomos to the south is the first impression visitors have of this village. The river banks are a pleasant place to spend the evening relaxing or doing some of the activities on offer; it is the ideal place for canoeing. A picnic area and a natural swimming pool make both these activities possible in the summer. As trees are an important feature of this area, the Centro de Interpretación de Pinares is a good place to visit. There the lifestyle, customs, economy and culture of the village in the time of carts and wagons is explained in detail.
The village's art is exemplified by the Iglesia de San Juan Bautista or what remains of it. Visits can also be made to the Ermita del Santo Cristo, the Ermita de San Roque and the Ermita de Santa Elena which fit in well with the village's architecture, typified by its pinewood portico houses and the so-called Casas de los Indianos.
