At Pereña de la Ribera, between this municipality and Masueco, the river Uces pours its waters into the Duero. When it reaches this point it creates an extraordinary waterfall more than 40 metres high, which forms a pleasant scene where wild vegetation grows, el Pozo de los Humos.
When one reaches Pereña, the Ermita de Nuestra Señora del Castillo, settled on the top of a rocky elevation known as El Berrocal, where there was once an old fort. From the viewpoint of the hermitage you can see the impressive meanders of the Duero encased in a spectacular metre drop 400 metres above the Duero, has to be visited. In the town centre is the Iglesia de Santa Maria.
