The town of Barruecopardo is in the west of Arribes del Huebra. It is a town that bears the memory of its mining past. The old town and part of the machinery are left open to the elements and can be visited by tourists. As in the whole of the region, Barruecopardo offers beautiful countryside of water, mountains and vegetation. The Iglesia Parroquial de Santa Maria Magdalena. On the outskirts is the Ermita del Cristo de las Mercedes.
