Saucelle, a typical village in the Salamancan Arribes appears between the waters of the river Huebra and the Duero. The first fall of the Duero as it passes through Salamanca was built here in 1956.
Evidence gleaned from archaeological remains that have been found suggests that in the surroundings of the Salto de Saucelle there could have been a Vetonic settlement. In Saucelle, the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Concepcion stands out.
