Sol Gómez Arteaga in Memory of Women , brings together the testimonies of
Twenty-five women published in the digital newspaper Nueva Revolución
—between October 2021 and September 2024—. The book aims to convey,
through analysis and reflection, some facts from our past more
recent that the women interviewed know very well due to their condition
from relatives of victims or for scientific knowledge and activity
professional that many of them have been developing - there are historians,
archaeologists, anthropologists, documentary filmmakers, university professors,
writers, singer-songwriters, journalists, lawyers and editors.
The ultimate meaning that inspires these twenty-five interviews from a woman's perspective
It is, without a doubt, the search for truth, the fundamental pillar on which we
supports historical memory, in order to do justice and reach
to the symbolic reparation of facts that have been systematically silenced throughout
for almost ninety years. Also for reasons of non-repetition - knowing
the mistakes of the past so as not to repeat them—all of them principles
of international law. Also, because we have, continue to have,
a historical debt to the true architects of democracy, women
and men who believed and fought to achieve living conditions
fairer (access to education, gender equality, better conditions
labor and health...) that we are now enjoying.
