CreaVA , an emerging art festival promoted by Valladolid City Council, will present the work of Valladolid artists in its 12th edition in unconventional spaces such as cafes, shops, cinemas, educational centers, and, of course, our library. This strategy seeks to bring talent and creativity to every corner of the city, making art more accessible to all citizens. The event will be held from April 25 to May 30, 2025.

During the festival, the Library of Castilla y León will host an exhibition by illustrator Laufer , focusing on her latest book (released around April 23), which deals with birdwatching and migration. To complement the exhibition, we will also offer a guided tour on May 9 and 23 at 8:15 p.m.

Laufer (Laura Fernández Arquisola) is from Valladolid. Since she was little, she drew more than she spoke, so when she grew up, she decided to study Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca. Now, after a few years, she dedicates herself to what she loves most: illustrating full-color interactive stories, textbooks, children's stories, and magazines.
