On the occasion of Book Day, the Salamanca Public Library will hold several activities:

Thursday, April 24

Readings aloud

As every year, the library's contributing readers will read a selection of authors who have made the news this year. This time, we commemorate Carmen Martín Gaite, Ángel González, Ana María Matute, and Antonio Machado. We will remember Rosa Regàs, Paul Auster, and Mario Vargas Llosa. We will also read books by award-winners Álvaro Pombo, Raúl Quinto, Chus Pato, Alfredo González Ruibal, Han Kang, Piedad Bonnett, Ana Blandiana, Manuel Rivas, Juan F. Rivero, and Paco Cerdà. We will conclude with readings by young writers Mercedes Cebrián, Víctor Bermúdez, Gabriela Wiener, and Antonio Díaz Mola.
