On Tuesday, March 18 , at 7:00 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Public Library of Palencia, organized by the Ateneo bookstore, there will be a literary meeting with Manuel Vilas who will present his work The Best Book in the World.
No one before Manuel Vilas has explored the vulnerability of a writer as he does here.
His new novel, clearly inspired by autobiography, tells the life story of a writer who gets up every morning, has breakfast and goes to work in his private office to create what he hopes will be the best book in the world. In this funny, irreverent and talkative story, Vilas breaks the famous glass ceiling to tell everyone who and what a writer is from a different place, one in which he has never been exposed, from his fragility: the impostor syndrome, the constant - and comical - comparison with others, the disappointments, the uncertainty, living with joy and failure and so on until his last days.
A unique, witty and very real look at how a writer struggles day after day to be appreciated, feel loved and go down in history. But always through comedy.
